Dear Candidate’s,

Uttar Pradesh Public Services Commission has issued a notification for the recruitment of 1473 vacancies for the lectures of various subjects in Government Inter Colleges (GIC) and Government Girls Inter Colleges (GGIC) for male/female candidates of the state.

All important dates and category-wise vacancy details are described below -

Uttar Pradesh Lecturer Notification 2020

Out of 1473 vacancies, 991 posts are of male candidates. Of these, 400 posts are unreserved, 98 posts are EWS, 265 for Other Backward Classes, 210 for Scheduled Castes and 18 for Scheduled Tribes. In this order, out of 482 posts of women candidates, 203 posts are reserved for unreserved, 42 for EWS, 130 for Other Backward Classes, 101 for Scheduled Castes and 6 for Scheduled Tribes.

  • Interested candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of the Commission uppsc.up.nic.in, for which a time interval of one month has been provided.

Qualification -

According to the Commission, candidates applying for this recruitment must have a Postgraduate and B.Ed. or LT diploma from a recognized university in the relevant subject.

Age limit (as on 01-07-2020) -

  • Minimum - 21 years
  • Maximum - 40 years

Upper age relaxation -

  • Upper age limit will be more than 5 years for skilled sportspersons of Sports / ST / SC / OBC of U.P.
  • The upper age limit for physically challenged persons of U.P will be more than 15 years.
  • Commissioned officers / Ex-Army will be given as per rules.

Selection Process:

  • (a) Only such candidates will be given admission in the Mains (Written) Examination who have been declared successful in the Preliminary Examination, for which the successful candidates will have to fill another application form as per the instructions of the Commission.
  • (b) Selection will be done on the basis of merit of the marks of Mains examination. However, this time the interview has not been conducted.
  • (c) Candidates should keep in mind that they have to appear in the Mains Examination with the same roll number allotted for the Preliminary Examination.
  • (d) The dates and locations of the Mains examinations will be intimated by the Commission later through the e-Admit Card.
  • (e) Candidates serving under the Central or State Government will have to produce a 'No Objection Certificate' from their employer issued by the Competent Authority.
