Now that the application process is over, it is time that the IBPS PO pre-examination training is going to be conducted for the selected category of students by the IBPS in order to give them first-hand knowledge about the syllabus and pattern of the exam.

  • The preliminary examination is going to be conducted in October month while the Mains Examination has been scheduled in the month of November 2019. 
  • After the mains examination, there will be an interview in the Months of January/ February 2020.

Eligibility Criteria 

The Pre-Examination training sessions are conducted for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/ Minority Communities. They can apply for pre-examination training at the time of applying for the IBPS PO Recruitment 2019 itself.

  • The IBPS PO pre-exam training is conducted in select centres of the country such as Agartala, Agra, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Amritsar, Aurangabad, Balasore, Behrampur (Ganjam), Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Dhanbad, Gorakhpur, Gulbarga, Guwahati, Hubli, Hyderabad, Indore, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Karnal, Kavaratti, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Madurai, Mangalore, Mumbai, Muzaffarpur, Mysore, Nagpur, New Delhi, Panaji (Goa), Patiala, Patna, Port Blair, Puducherry, Pune, Raipur, Rajkot, Ranchi, Rohtak, Sambalpur, Shimla, Shillong, Siliguri, Thiruchirapalli, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati, Vadodara, Varanasi, Vijaywada and Vishakhapatnam. 
  • The training is imparted to the candidates free of cost but no other arrangements are made for the candidates attending this training. 
  • The expenses of boarding, lodging, traveling have to be borne by the candidates themselves and no reimbursement is made in this regard to the participating candidates. 
  • It is to be noted that if a candidate is accepted for this training, it is not necessary that the candidate will be selected in the exam also. Attending this training will not confer any right to the candidate to any post on offer through the examination. 

How to apply for IBPS PO Pre-Exam Training?

You may apply for this training if and only if you belong to the SC/ ST/ Minority community and no other candidate is entitled to this training program. However, in case you wish to attend this training program, you need to apply for it at the time of registration only where you need to tick the applicable box for the PET. You don’t need to pay anything extra for this purpose at the time of registration. 

The PO pre-exam training gives an idea regarding the types of questions that can be asked in the actual examination but it is also true that it can only be considered as a purpose of reference and one cannot rely on this training program to be comprehensive in nature.
