UPSC CAPF Notification 2020 - Check Recruitment for Assistant Commandant!

It is a great pleasure to announce that the UPSC has released 209 vacancies for the posts of Assistant Commandant in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). Both female and male candidates are eligible for appointment to the post of Assistant Commandant (Group A).

UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Examination 2020

The union public service commission (UPSC) is all set to conduct the CRPF Assistant Commandant Recruitment 2020 for 209 vacancies. The detailed notification about the same is available on the commission’s website.

According to the released notification, candidates will be selected for a total of 209 vacancies in BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, and SSB. 

  • Reservation will be implemented as per government policy, out of which 10% vacancy is identified for Ex-servicemen. 
  • The online application procedure for UPSC CAPF Recruitment 2020 has already been started from 18th August.
  • The selection of the candidate for the UPSC CRPF exam will be on the basis of written examination, physical efficiency test, and interview. 
  • The e-admit card for written examination will be issued for the candidates on the UPSC official website, so you need to keep a regular eye on the website. Important information related to the exam is as follows-

Eligibility Criteria -

No candidates other than who fulfill the below-given eligibility conditions will be eligible for the recruitment examination. 

Nationality:

Under these rules, no person, other than a citizen of India, shall be appointed or employed, except the person to whom the Central Government has given written consent.

Age Limit:

  • Minimum Age: 20 Years
  • Maximum Age: 25 Years

Educational Qualification:

Graduate in any discipline 

Age Relaxation -

  • Maximum 5 years relaxation for SC / ST.
  • Maximum 3 years relaxation for OBC.
  • Maximum 5 years relaxation for ex-servicemen

Selection Process -

Candidates for UPSC Recruitment 2020 will be selected on the following basis: -

  • Written Examination (CBT)
  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  • Personality Test (Interview)
  • Final selection

Written Exam:

  • The first stage exam will be held on 20 December 2020, it will consist of 2 papers.
  • In the first paper, objective type questions will be asked in Hindi and English of 250 marks with general aptitude and intelligence.
  • In the second paper, there will be 200 marks of general studies, essays, and unread depth.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

Candidates who get minimum qualifying marks in the written examination will be called for the physical efficiency test and medical standard test.

Personality Test (Interview):

  • Candidates who are declared qualified in the Medical Criteria tests will be called for the Personality Test (Interview) conducted by the UPSC.
  • The interview test will be of 150 marks.

Final Selection/ Qualification:

The merit list will be made based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the written test and interview.

  • For General and OBC Candidates: Rs. 200/-
  • For Women/ SC/ ST/ PWD Candidates: No fee
