1. The National Archives of India was established on 11 March 1891 in Kolkata.

2. It is the custodian of records of permanent value to the Government of India.

3. The National Archives of India is an attached office under the Ministry of Culture.

4. Following the transfer of the capital from Calcutta to Delhi in 1911, this present building of the National Archives of India was constructed in 1926.

 1. Mangarh Hill situated on the Gujarat-Rajasthan border is also known by the tribal name Jallianwala.

2. On November 17, 1913, a tragedy occurred in Mangadh (Banswara, Rajasthan) in which more than 1,500 Bhil tribals were killed.

3. Guru was a great leader among the Bhil and Garasia tribal communities, a man who united thousands of tribals on his own. The immediate Mangadh covered the border areas of present-day Udaipur, Dungarpur and Banswara of Rajasthan, Idar of Gujarat and Malwa of Madhya Pradesh.
