1. World Environment Day is celebrated every year on 5 June.

2. Its objective is to make mankind aware of the environment.

World Environment Day is a global platform for public outreach, with participation from over 143 countries annually.

6. The concept of Panchayati Raj in the Indian Constitution is enshrined in the Directive Principles of State Policy.

7. The tenure of Panchayats is fixed for five years but it can be dissolved even before the tenure.
