The Harappan civilization, also known as the Indus Valley civilization, flourished around 3300 to 1300 BCE. It was one of the world's earliest urban civilizations, and its remains have been discovered in the modern-day countries of India and Pakistan, as well as Afghanistan and Iran. The civilization was named after the ancient city of Harappa, one of its major centers.

1. For the first time in the country, an international seminar on mustard and oilseeds was organized in Jaipur.

2. All India Oilseeds Coordinated Research Project (AICRPO) was established in April 1967 by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research to improve oilseeds in the country.

3. The National Mustard Research Center was established on October 20, 1993, to conduct basic, strategic and applied research on rye mustard at the Adaptation Testing Center, Sewar, Bharatpur of the State Agriculture Department, Government of Rajasthan.
