Answer :
Explanation :

Fermentation is the chemical breakdown of a substance by bacteria, yeasts, or other microorganisms, typically involving effervescence and the giving off of heat.   The two most common types of fermentation are (1) alcoholic fermentation (and)  (2) lactic acid fermentation.   (1) Alcoholic fermentation : the type of fermentation in which ethyl alcohol is the main end product .This is very common in yeast (unicellular fungus) and also seen in some bacteria. Yeast cells release enzymes called zymase complex which bring about the fermentation. The reactions are similar to anaerobic respiration.   (2) Lactic acid fermentation : The type of fermentation in which lactic acid is the end product. It is carried out by some bacteria (e.g. lactic acid bacteria), and also by animals (muscle glycolysis in animals, under oxygen deficiency, results in the formation of lactic acid this is whay we experience in muscle cramps, or "Charley horse").

Answer : 2. "Pyranometer"
Explanation :

Answer: B) Pyranometer Explanation: Solar radiation instruments may be produced to measure different types of solar energy. When sunlight encounters the Earth's atmosphere, some of it is absorbed or scattered by water vapor, aerosols, clouds, and other air molecules. The radiation which penetrates to the Earth's surface is termed direct solar radiation.   A thermopile pyranometer is a type of actinometer used for measuring solar radiation on a planar surface and it is designed to measure the solar radiation flux density (W/m2) from the hemisphere above within a wavelength range 0.3 μm to 3 μm.

Answer : 3. "is described generally, not using a formal definition"
Explanation :

Answer: C) is described generally, not using a formal definition Explanation: In geometry, we can define plane as a flat surface with no thickness. The surface extends with no ends. A plane does not have any edges even if we draw it on paper with edges, it does't mean it has edges.   Hence, A plane is an undefined term because it is described generally, not using a formal definition.
