After the death of Daduji, the Dadu sect was divided into 6 branches, which are as follows.

  1. Khalsa- It is associated with Naraina, the main seat of Dadu sect. The head of this branch was his son Garibdas ji.

  2. Naga-Nagapanth was established in the Dadu sect by Sant Sunderdas ji. Naga Sadhus carried weapons with them and served as enlisted soldiers in the Jaipur state. When the public became upset with their terror, Sawai Jai Singh made a rule and banned them from possessing weapons.

  3. Dispassionate- These were the merry-go-round Sadhus of the Dadu sect who gave orders to the householders.

  4. Khaki - He used to apply ashes on his body and wore khaki clothes.

  5. Uttarade - who left Rajasthan and went towards Northern India.

  6. Nihang - Those monks who were nomads.
