1. Palash (Butea monosperma) is one of the very important species of Rajasthan which is mainly seen around Southern Aravali and South-Eastern Aravali. This species is an important part of the 5 tropical dry deciduous forests and forms E5 – Palash forest in India.

2. In Rajasthan, Palash forests are found in Alwar, Ajmer, Udaipur and Rajsamand districts.

1. Lord Shri Devnarayan Ji, the worshipable deity of the Gurjar caste who is said to be the incarnation of Lord Vishnu, was born in Malaseri on the Saptami day of Magh Shukla in Vikram Samvat 968. His father's name was Sawai Bhoj and his mother's name was Sadhu, hence he was known as Sadhu also called his mother's son.
