1. The pioneer of the freedom struggle in Alwar was Pt—Harinarayan Sharma, who founded the Untouchability Prevention Association, Valmiki Sangh and Adivasi Sangh.

2. In 1938, Pandit Harinarayan Sharma and Kunjbihari Lal Modi established Prajamandal in Alwar. When this organization was not registered, the struggle started.

3. In April 1940, the elected Municipal Council was formed in Alwar.

4. In the year 1940, workers opposed the collection of donations for the war fund. On this, Harinarayan Sharma and Bholanath Master were arrested and prosecuted.

5. In January 1944, the first session of Prajamandal was held under the chairmanship of Bhavanishankar Sharma. Prajamandal continued to strive for the demand of the formation of a responsible government. In the year 1946, Prajamandal supported the demands of the farmers and supported the proposal of giving them land ownership.
