1. Bhakar: The ridge situated in the far west of East Sirohi, which is steep, less elevated and rough, is called Bhakar.

2. Girwa: The saucer-shaped hills around Udaipur are called Girwa in the local language.

3. Kherad and Malkherad: Most of the area is spread in the basin of Banas river, that is, this area is spread over most of Jahazpur tehsil of Bhilwara district and Tonk district. In this area, the plateau slope is generally CD-shaped and towards the Banas valley. Also known by the name.

4. Desharo: The area between Jarga and Sirohi hills in Udaipur is called Desharo because it is always green.

1. Section 89 of the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 provides for the constitution of Rajasthan Panchayat Samiti and Zilla Parishad Service.

2. The amendment to section 89 states that the expression “Village Development Officer” shall be substituted for the existing expression “Village-level worker/Gram Sevak”.

3. The post of Gram Sevaks under Section 89 does not exist in Panchayati Raj Institutions and hence the existing provisions are deleted.

4. The Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 came into force in the state on April 23, 1994.
