1. The famous Beneshwar fair of Rajasthan is held in the month of Magh. Beneshwar Fair is a popular tribal fair held in Dungarpur district of Rajasthan state, India.

2. The fair is held in the month of February at Beneshwar, a small delta formed by the Soma River and 68.4 kilometers from Dungarpur.

3. Beneshwar Fair holds immense religious significance for the Bhils, a tribal community located in Rajasthan and neighboring states.

4. This tribe gathers here in large numbers, making the festival no less than the Kumbh Mela of the tribes.

5. The term Beneshwar is generally addressed to Lord Shiva and the Shiva Linga present in the Mahadev temple which is situated near the confluence of the Som, Mahi and Jakham rivers.

1. The Bhagat movement took place on the Bhomat plateau spread in the Banswara and Dungarpur districts of Rajasthan.

2. This movement was started mainly by the farmers of the Bhil tribe.

- In 1883 AD, Govind Giri established the Sampa Sabha, whose first session was held in 1903 AD. Born on the hills of Mangadh.

-In 1913, the Mewar Bhil Vahini opened fire on Ashwin Shukla Purnima, surrounded by a gathering on the hill of Mangarh, killing more than 1500 Bhils.

- Mewar Bhil Corps was established in Khairwada in 1841 AD.

4. Ashwin Shukla Purnima fair is held here even today.

The construction of Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque located in the Qutub Minar complex was started by Qutb-ud-din Aibak, the first ruler of the Slave dynasty in 1206. It took 4 years to build this mosque.
