Nobel Peace Prize 2016 was awarded to Colombian President John Manual Santos for his resolute efforts to bring the countries more than 50 years long Civil War to an end. He is the second Colombian to win Nobel Prize after Gabriel Garcia Marquez who won the 1982 Nobel Prize for literature.
