The first scientific division of the Rajput painting style was done by Anand Kumar Swami. He wrote a book named 'Rajput Painting' in 1916.

1. This instrument can be called the initial form of Veena. Its shape resembles a veena and similarly, it has two trumpets.

2. Its rod is made of bamboo on which 22 curtains made of the skin of a particular animal are pasted with wax. Sometimes these are also made of crocodile skin.

3. There are five or six strings attached to the curtains. The strings are played by striking them with the base of the finger and thumb so that the rhythm starts sounding.

3. Bhope of areas like Mewar and Badnaur, Negadiya, Sawai Bhoj etc. are skilled in playing it.

1. Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal is known for its important role in the preservation and promotion of puppetry art in Rajasthan. This institution was established in 1952 in Udaipur. Its objective is to promote knowledge and research in the field of folk arts, performing arts and puppetry.

2. Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal organizes many programs to preserve various forms of puppetry art. These include training of puppeteers, performing puppet plays and researching the art of puppetry.
