1. Dairy development was initiated by the state government in the early seventies under the aegis of Rajasthan State Dairy Development Corporation (RSDDC), registered in 1975. Two years later the RCDF took over responsibility for many of the RSDDC's functions.

2. It has become the nodal agency for the implementation of Operation Flood in the state.

3. The Rajasthan Cooperative Dairy Federation (RCDF), established in 1977 as the implementing agency for dairy development programs in Rajasthan, is registered as a Society under the Rajasthan Cooperative Societies Act 196.

Mewar Sugar Mill-

- This mill is the first private-sector sugar mill in Rajasthan.

1. Suratgarh Thermal Power Plant is the first and largest thermal power plant in Rajasthan.

2. It is situated in Sriganganagar district.

3. It has an installed capacity of 1500 MW, which is the highest in the state.

4. The climate here is extremely hot and cold and the temperature ranges between -1 to 50 degrees Celsius.

The provisional accounts place the GoI's gross fiscal deficit at 3.77 per cent of GDP for 2019-20, overshooting by 0.8 per cent of GDP over the RE (3.8 per cent of GDP) and by about 1.3 per cent of GDP over the BE (3.3 per cent of GDP).
