1. Bhorat Plateau is a plateau that covers the northern part of the Central Hill Plain, Central India.

2. Covers about 22,000 square miles (57,000 square km) and includes most of northwestern Madhya Pradesh state and central Rajasthan state.

3. The largest and highest part of the Aravalli range lies between the forts of Kumbhalgarh and Gogunda, which is commonly called Bhorat in the form of a plateau.

4. The north-western mountain part of Udaipur is called Maghar. It is situated at an average altitude of 1225 metres. The height of some peaks is also 1300 meters.

5. The steep slope and rugged part to its west is called 'Bhakar' in the local language.
