The government has decided to disinvest large chunk of its equity in select public sector undertakings for a better fiscal management.

Assumptions:

I. The amount generated out of the disinvestment process may reduce sub statically the mounting fiscal deficits.

II. There will be enough demand in the market for the shares of these under takings.

Statement:

Traffic jams on most of the roads in the city have become a regular feature during monsoon.

Assumptions:

I. Material used for road construction cannot withstand the fury of monsoon resulting into innumerable potholes on the roads.

Statement:

“Private property, trespassers will be prosecuted” - A notice on a plot of land.

Assumptions:

I. The passerby may read the notice and may not trespass.

II. The people are scared of prosecution
