Raja Ram Mohan Roy is known as the father of Indian Nationalism, the Father of Indian Renaissance and the Prophet of Indian Nationalism. He started the Brahmo Samaj in 1828. He also started Atmiya Sabha by attracting young men from Calcutta and carried on struggle against the religious and social evils.

India's first publicly screened cinema, "Raja Harishchandra," was directed by Dadasaheb Phalke. He is often regarded as the father of Indian cinema. "Raja Harishchandra" was released in 1913, marking the beginning of the Indian film industry. Dadasaheb Phalke played a crucial role in the early development of Indian cinema and is remembered for his pioneering contributions to the art form.

The Second Prime Minister of India, Lal Bahadur Shastri first gave the slogan “Jai Jawan Jai Kisan” in the year 1965 at the Ramlila Maidan in Delhi while giving a speech in a public gathering.
