1. The rebel forces of Kota rebelled under the leadership of two officers Mehrab Khan and Jaidayal Kayashi.

2. Lala Jaidayal was a famous revolutionary of the first Indian freedom struggle of 1857.

3. On 15 October 1857, Kota led a revolution against the British in the state.

4. Major Burton died in this and the Residency was captured by the revolutionaries.

5. On 17 September 1860, Lala Jaidayal and Mehrab Khan were hanged by the Kota Agency at the same place where they had murdered Major Burton.

One of the most venerated fairs of Rajasthan, the Kaila Devi fair is held at the temple of Kaila Devi in Karauli. The temple is situated on the banks of the river kalisi in karauli district of Rajasthan. Kaila Devi fair is held in Hindu month Chaitra which happens to be in March or April.

1. Lord Shri Devnarayan Ji, the worshipable deity of the Gurjar caste who is said to be the incarnation of Lord Vishnu, was born in Malaseri on the Saptami day of Magh Shukla in Vikram Samvat 968. His father's name was Sawai Bhoj and his mother's name was Sadhu, hence he was known as Sadhu also called his mother's son.

2. Devji's name in childhood was Uday Singh, he was married to Princess Peepal De and two other queens, Nag Kanya and Daitya Kanya. He had a son named Bella who later became the first priest and a daughter named Beeli.
