1. It is an Act to provide for the delivery of certain services to the people of the State by the public authority within the prescribed time limit and related matters.

2. Under the Rajasthan Public Service Guarantee Act, 2011, an appeal can be made to the Second Appellate Authority within 60 days against the decision of the First Appellate Authority.

In accordance with this announcement, 'Rajasthan Public Services Guarantee Delivery Act-2011' has been implemented in the state from November 14, 2011, the birth anniversary of the first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru.

1. The Planning Department in Rajasthan was established in July, 1953. The main objective of establishing this department was to prepare a plan for economic development in the state. This department is headed by the Chief Minister.

2. The major functions of the planning department include-

- Preparing plans for the economic development of the state

- Monitoring the implementation of plans

- Evaluating plans

- Arranging funds for projects

1. After the formation of the United States of Rajasthan, His Excellency the Rajpramukh established the Board of Revenue for Rajasthan by the promulgation of an Ordinance on 7 April 1949.

2. This Ordinance came into force on 1 November 1949 and replaced the revenue divisions of Bikaner, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Matsya and East Rajasthan.

3. These revenue boards were functioning in the princely states under various laws.

Under Article 280, State Finance Commission was established in all the states of India since 1993 on the lines of the Finance Commission of the Centre, whose objective is to review the financial position of the bodies and Panchayats and make recommendations for the same. The State Finance Commission is constituted by the Governor for a term of 5 years. A chairman and a maximum of four members can be appointed in it.
