Bihar Forest Guard/Forester Recruitment 2020 for 720 Posts

Applications are invited from both male and female candidates for 720 posts of Forester & Forest Guard by the Central Selection Board Constable (CSBC) of Bihar.

Candidates who are interested to apply for the posts of Forest Guard under Bihar Police can fill their online application by visiting the official website of CSBC i.e. http://csbc.bih.nic.in/. 

• As per reservation provisions 3% of the post is reserved for women.
• Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination and physical efficiency test.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification -

Candidates should have passed the 12th class or equivalent from a recognized board.

Age Limit  (as on 01 January 2020) 

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum age for general candidates: 23 years
• Maximum age for OBC candidates: 25 years
• Maximum age for SC/ST candidates: 28 years

Note: Government servants working in the Government of Bihar, who have completed a minimum period of three years in regular service till the cut-off date and who wish to appear in this competitive examination, will be given a maximum age relaxation of 5 years.

Selection Process:

Selection of candidates for the posts will be done on the following basis-

• Written exam
• Physical test/proficiency test and medical examination

(1) Written Examination -

• Candidates whose online application is found correct, they must first pass the written examination, which will be of 400 marks.
• All the written test questions will be of objective type.
• The 2-hour question paper will have 4 sections, in which a total of 100 questions will be asked, in which 04 marks will be given for each correct answer.

(2) Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Examination -

On the basis of the marks obtained in the written examination, candidates who have appeared in the merit list will have to qualify the PET conducted by a committee constituted by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Bihar.

• Candidates selected on the basis of written examination will be called to appear in the Physical Proficiency Test.
• It is mandatory to succeed in PET and no relaxation will be given in the minimum prescribed criteria of physical qualification.

Note: Candidates who will be found to have symptoms of corona infection will not be allowed to participate in the written examination, physical efficiency test and records verification.
