Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) has issued an advertisement for recruitment to 1700 posts of District / Divisional / Union Territory of various departments under the provisions of Civil Services - Decentralization and Recruitment Act, 2010.

JKSSB Recruitment 2020 - Vacancy Details
According to the advertisement, applications have been invited for the recruitment of Junior Assistant, Junior Stenographer, Librarian, Inspector, Lab Assistant and other posts on a total of 1700 vacancies.
- The above posts will be filled in various departments, including Transport-144 posts, Labor and Employment - 78 posts, Culture-79 posts, Election - 137 posts, Tribal Affairs - 16 posts, Finance - 1446 posts.
- Interested and eligible candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of the board jkssb.nic.in through the prescribed format on or before 16 January 2021.

Note: Candidates applying for the post of Junior Scale Stenographer / Junior Stenographer should have a minimum speed of 65 and 35 words per minute in shorthand and type writing respectively, while candidates applying for the post of Junior Assistant should have knowledge of type writing. Should, not less than 35 words per minute. Only candidates who achieve an accuracy of 90% or more and a typing speed of a minimum of 35 words per minute will be considered eligible for the next stage.
The above post is subject to minor changes due to reconciliation with the department concerned.
Age Limit -
- For OM: 40 years
- For SC/ST/RBA/ALC/IB/EWS/PSP/OSC: 43 years
- For Physically challenged person: 42 years
- For Ex-servicemen soldiers: 48 years
- For Government Service Contractual Employment: 40 years
Selection Process:
Candidates will be selected on the following basis -
- Skill test
- Written Examination/CBT
- Interview
Exam Pattern:
- The exam will consist of objective type, multiple choice questions. Questions will be set in English only.
- There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- Tentative answer-key will be available on the board's website (www.jkssb.nic.in) at the appointed time after the examination.
- The marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination will be normalized, if necessary, to determine the final merit and cut-off marks.

- Payment Fee: Rs. 350/-
- Fees can be paid online only through Net Banking using Visa, Master Card, Maestro, Credit or Debit Card.
