The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) examination every year to recruit candidates for various vacancies available in several government ministries/departments/offices. Likewise, for the session 2019-20, the recruitment process has been started.

Interested and eligible candidates are required to read the SSC CHSL Notification 2019 to ensure their eligibility. Eligibility Criteria:

The applications will be accepted only from the eligible candidates thus the candidates are advised to go through all the required eligibility conditions of the recruitment process such as educational qualification, age limit, physical and medical standards, etc. and ensure their eligibility for the available posts.

Selection Process/Exam Pattern:

The selection process is consisting of the following 4 rounds-

  • Tier-1 Computer Based Exam 
  • Tier-2 Descriptive Paper
  • Tier 3 Exam – Skill/Typing Test
  • Document Verification

Highlights:

  • Candidates will be shortlisted for Tier-II Exam on the basis of their performance in the Tier-I Exam. 
  • Normalized scores of the candidates will be used to determine merit and for final selection. 
  • The selection of candidates for Document Verification and Tier-III Exam will be determined by the aggregate marks achieved by them in Tier-I + Tier-II subject to having scored a minimum of 33% marks. 
  • Tier-III Examination i.e. Skill Test/ Typing Test is qualifying in nature. 
  • Skill Test in Tier-III for DEOs is mandatory for all the qualified candidates. 
  • Final selection and allocation of departments to the candidates qualified in DV and Tier-III will be done as per their performance in the Tier-I+ Tier-II Exams.

Application Fee:

  • The payable application fee amount is Rs 100/-.
  • The application fee amount can be paid online via any of the BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or in offline mode by depositing cash at SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.
  • The Women/ST/SC/PWD and Ex-Serviceman candidates are exempted from payment of the fee.

How to Apply?

The complete procedure to fill up the online application form has been described below in simple steps-

  • Visit the official website of SSC i.e. ssc.nic.in.
  • Check out the ‘Apply’ section on the home page.
  • Click on the “Apply” link available there for Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2019.
  • After pressing on the Apply link, you will be redirected to the login page.
  • Login to the portal with your credentials, if you are a new user then you need to register yourself first.
  • Fill up the registration form and submit it.
  • After successful registration, logon to the SSC portal with the allotted registration number and password.
  • Now, enter the required details in the application form very carefully.
  • Click on the ‘I Agree’ checkbox in the declarations if you accept the same.
  • Now, submit the application and proceed to the fee payment step.
  • Pay the fee amount via any of the prescribed online/offline modes of payment.
  • Now, take the printout of the form and the fee-receipt for future reference.
