RPSC RAS Notification 2023: 905 Vacancies

Rajasthan Public Service Commission has published an official RPSC Notification for various vacant posts, including Rajasthan Administrative Services, Rajasthan Taxation Service, Rajasthan Police Services, Rajasthan Accounts Services and other sub-ordinate. 

This year, 905 vacancies are announced, out of which 424 are for various State Service Posts and the remaining 481 are for Sub-ordinate Posts.

RPSC RAS Recruitment | Overview 

The RPSC RAS Selection process will be conducted in three phases: Prelims, Mains and Interview. The preliminary exam is qualifying in nature and marks scored in Mains & Interview will be included in preparing the merit list. 

A total of posts is permanent and total number of vacancies received from the department (number of posts may increase/decrease).

RPSC RAS Eligibility Criteria

Rajasthan Public Service Commission has set the eligibility criteria for the candidates who are interested in the State Service & Subordinate posts. 

Age Limit (as on 01 Jan 2024) -

• Minimum Age – 21 Years
• Maximum Age – 40 Years
• For non Gazetted Employees: 25 to 45 Years
• Age relaxation is admissible as per rules.

Selection Process:

The selection process of the candidates will be as follows -

• Preliminary exam
• Mains exam
• Interview

Preliminary exam -

• The Preliminary Examination will consist of one paper on the subject specified below, which will be of objective type and carry a maximum of 200 marks. The examination is meant to serve as a screening test only. The Standard of the paper will be that of a Bachelor‟s Degree Level. 
• The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination by the candidates, who are declared qualified for admission to Main Examination will not be counted for determining their final order of merit.

Mains exam -

• The number of candidates to be admitted to the Main Examination will be 15 times the total approximate number of vacancies to be filled in the year in the examination but in the said range all those candidates who secure the same marks as may be fixed by the Commission for any lower range will be admitted to the Main Examination.
• The written examination will consist of the following four papers which will be descriptive/analytical. A candidate must take all the papers listed below which will also consist of question paper of brief, medium, long answer and descriptive type questions. The standard of General Hindi and General English will be that of Sr. Secondary level. The time allowed for each paper shall be 3 hours.

The application fee varies according to the categories -

• For General (UR)/ BC/ EBC (Creamy Layer): Rs. 600/-
• For SC/ ST/ PwD/ BC/ EBC/ EWS (NCL): Rs. 400/-
• Payment Mode: Through Online
