SBI Prelims Exam Syllabus:

The SBI Prelims exam syllabus consists of 3 sections, covering numerical aptitude, reasoning ability, and English language, as given under:

General English -

The objective of this paper is to check the basic understanding of the candidate in English, correct grammar usage, vocabulary usage and writing ability. In prelims paper, questions asked are based upon Reading and comprehension, Cloze test, Connectors, Spotting errors, Active/Passive Voices, Sentence Improvement, Para-jumbles, Idioms and Phrases, Synonyms and antonyms, etc.

Logical Reasoning -

The main objective behind this test is to test the mental ability and logical strength of the applicants. It includes Syllogism, Analogy, Blood Relations, Series Completion, Decision-Making, Statement and Conclusions, Directions and Arrangements, Ranking, Input/Output, Data Sufficiency, Comprehension Reasoning, Coding/Decoding, Analogy, Classification, Coding & Decoding, Puzzles, and Seating Arrangements.

Quantitative Aptitude -

Data Analysis, Inequalities, Number Series, Approximation and Simplification, Data Sufficiency, Miscellaneous Arithmetic Problems (HCF and LCM), Profit and Loss, SI and CI, Age, Work and Time Problems, Speed-Distance and Topics such as Time, Probability, Permutations and Combinations, Averages, Proportions, and Proportions, etc. are included.

SBI Mains Exam Syllabus:

In the second phase of the SBI exam, 4 subjects like General English, Logical Ability and Computer Knowledge, Numerical Aptitude, General and Financial Awareness are asked. Which are as follows-

General English -

The English language subject is a common subject for all examinations. The syllabus includes Mains Paper Intentionally, Connectors, Close Test, Fill in the Blanks, Synonyms, Antonyms, Spelling Errors/ Detecting Miss-Spelt Words, Idioms and Phrases, One Word Substitution, Sentence Improvement, Active/Passive Voice, Error checking questions etc.

Logical Ability and Computer Knowledge -

This section includes puzzles, directions, blood relations, order and columns, machine input-output, inequalities, alpha-numeric-symbols, alphabet-based questions, coding-decoding, number series, date sufficiency, rational reasoning (passage status, statement and inference, conclusion, logic distribution), computer history and development, computer organization, computer memory, computer hardware, Input/output equipment, computer software, computer and languages, operating systems, including computer networks, Internet, MS Office suite and shortcut keys, the basics of DBMS, number systems and conversion, computer and network security.

Quantitative Aptitude -

Analysis of data under second stage Mains (bar graph, line chart, tabular, Kellert, radiator/web, found chart), inequalities, number series, approximation and simplification, data adequacy, miscellaneous arithmetic problems (HCF and LCM), profit and Topics such as loss, SI and CI, age, problem at work and time, speed-distance and time, probability, number of men, permutations and combinations, average, ratio and proportions) are included.

General and Financial Awareness -

This section of the Mains exam paper includes questions related to banking and insurance awareness, financial awareness, government schemes and policies, current affairs static awareness.
